ZEROTRE: healthy eating starts at school! Rustichella d’Abruzzo dedicates its long food experience to children’s nutrition, offering a precious support to mothers and accompanying them during the delicate phase of nutrition. School is the place that you trust to educate your son and daughter, place where friends grow up together, place where is very important to learn about the healthy nutrition. The concept of the organic ZEROTRE pasta was born from a nutrition educational path by the Rustichella d’Abruzzo Owner Maria Stefania Peduzzi, married since 25 years, mother of three, travel enthusiast and practical dreamer. Her managerial role does not overshadow the love for the children, because as she likes to point out: “I am a proud teacher.”
It all began in 2001 with the opening of the “Zerotre” nursery, originally created to accommodate the children from 0 up to 3 years old of her employees. This service was later extended to all working mothers. In 2003 the kindergarten “L’isola che c’è” school was established, and in 2007 she founded the “Orizzonti” Primary School. ZEROTRE line is born with the idea to promote to children, which are growing, the principles of the mediterranean diet. We choose (with great care) the best durum wheat semolina organically grown for children (higher protein count than that contained in soft wheat). And that’s not all.
We know well how important are minerals and vitamins for children nutrition and also vegetables and greens fibers. This is the reason why we propose ZEROTRE pasta with vegetables, a product obtained with the use of the best durum wheat semolina organically grown. It’s mixed with a 35% of Spinach, Zucchini, Carrots, Pumpkin and Tomatoes puree rigorously organically grown without the addition of food colouring and preservatives. Furthermore, we propose ZROTRE pasta with a 35% of fruits puree: mixed berries (Bluberries, Currants and Raspberries), Kiwi & Pear (with the plus of 5 grains). And we don’t forget all kids who have celiac disease. Furthermore we have recently introduced the ZEROTRE new addition 2017 as seasoning 03 (Cream of Parmigiano Cheese, Genoese Pesto D.O.P. with Basil – no garlic – 100% Organic Tomato Sauce and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and shortbread biscuits 03 (Classic Shortbread, Shortbread with Chocolate Drops and Shortbread with Cocoa) for a tasty snack!
