Sagne a Pezzi (in pieces) and Spaghettoni PrimoGrano (100% of Abruzzo grown wheat) by Rustichella d’Abruzzo are the winners of The WineHunter Award 2017 by the Merano WineFestival, the first event in Europe which, since 1992, solely focuses on the selection of top quality products in an exclusive ambience. Its multi-sensory journey in just one Glass, has become a milestone in this type of festivals. To celebrate 26 years of history, there will be 5 days full of emotions and things to discover with friends: over 450 winemakers among the best of Italy and the rest of the world, almost 200 producers of culinary products and 15 prominent chefs. Expression of the best that our place has to offer, selected by the WineHunter Award Commissions. The Merano WineFestival is more than just an event, it is an outright think tank. It provides a platform for exchange between producers, opinion leaders, professionals and consumers. A proper benchmark for high quality and a reference for a selective purchase. The visibility and notoriety of the Merano Wine Festival reaches a global level and represents a brand of top-quality. Every selected company is part of the wine-world’s gotha.
“It feels like yersterday, that I had the idea to transform the city of Merano into a European place of raffinesse – Helmuth Köcher, President and Founder of Merano Wine Festival said – where past, present and future of the wine and gastronomic world find a place to confront, get to know and meet.”
“What a honor to receive this amazing Award – the Rustichella d’Abruzzo owners Maria Stefania and Gianluigi Peduzzi said – that confirm the high quality of PrimoGrano (means “first grain” in Italian) that was born on the idea to bring back the taste and authenticity of pasta made with 100% Abruzzo-grown wheat such as our grandfather Gaetano Sergiacomo, who used to make at his mill in the town of Penne, at the turn of last century.”
All of this on the 26th Merano Wine Festival: unique, exclusive, authentic.. from 10 to 14 of November!
