President Gianluigi Peduzzi serving Spaghettoni PrimoGrano RdA (100% Abruzzo grown wheat) with PrimoGrano Heirloom Tomato & PrimoGrano INTOSSO Evo Oil.
"An Afternoon in Abruzzo was an overwhelming success. What a pleasure it was for Gianluigi Peduzzi to join us for this event. Gianluigi is so knowledgeable and passionate about pasta and it's great for top Vancouver chefs and retailers to hear this message directly from him. For me, it was a great pleasure organising this event and having the opportunity to cook with my friend Chef Letitia Wan. As the Chef of Ask for Luigi, one of the city's top Italian restaurants, she is a great supporter of Rustichella and having visited Abruzzo with me a few years back, Chef Wan has experienced first hand, the culture, simplicity and beauty of Abruzzo. We continually joke about when will be a good time to go back. The guests of the An Afternoon in Abruzzo were all very excited to be there. In particular, many were interested in the product lines which will be new in our market. With some of the new and classic Rustichella d'Abruzzo products, Tish and I collaborated on a menu showcasing amazing Rustichella products, the philosophy of Abruzzo, but with our Vancouver influences and sensibilities. Overall, the guests enjoyed the luncheon, but they truly appreciated the insight that Gianluigi and I provided into the history, the culture and the specifics of RdA products.
An overwhelming theme which was discussed was the innovation of Rustichella. Few pasta companies can claim they are innovative, however based on the direction of the products lines and the way many things are done at RdA, it's clear that innovation and evolution is a key mandate. While respecting tradition and the artisan philosophy, Rustichella stays ahead of the market by creating products, marketing and doing business in a modern and pro-active manner. What a pleasure it is for me to be a Brand Ambassador of such a fantastic company."
