The 51th edition of Vinitaly (the international wine competition and exposition that is held annually in April in the Italian wine region of Verona and opened to both the public and wine professionals featuring an average of 3000 wines from several dozen countries) is ended one week ago. International operators were up compared to 2016 from the United States (+6%), Germany (+3%), United Kingdom (+4%), China (+12%), Russia (+42%), Japan (+2%), Northern Europe (+2%), the Netherlands and Belgium (+6%) and Brazil (+29%). Debuts for buyers from Panama and Senegal. Veronafiere was home for four days to 4,270 exhibiting companies from 30 countries, up in overall terms by 4% and in particular for international producers (+74%). Vinitaly and the City attracted 35,000 wine lovers to the historic centre of Verona and the town of Bardolino. Sol&Agrifood (the landmark event for international buyers about "Made in Italy" quality agro foods) is happened in conjunction with the Vinitaly. "With about 300 exhibitors - said the President of Veronafiere, Maurizio Danese - Sol&Agrifood is increasingly emerging as a service system for the promotion and internationalization of the best Made in Italy produce, along the lines of Vinitaly. Its strength lies in its ability to bring companies and buyers together, at the same time as promoting product culture."

Training and tradition are two important foundations for Rustichella d'Abruzzo; for this reason, we were proud and honored to be present at this great event."Italy is the land of high quality agro foods - said the President of Rustichella d'Abruzzo, Gianluigi Peduzzi - and the attention for gourmet product is costantly growing in Italy also. We presented to buyer and foodies our PrimoGrano line (a regional short food supply chain of pasta made with 100% Abruzzo-grown wheat since 2004, and traditional products of Vestina Area Vestina, Tomato Pear from Abruzzo, Extra Virgin Olive Oil INTOSSO monocultivar and Tondino Bean), and TRITICUM, a line of 100% organic artisan pasta made with ancient durum wheats (Farro from Abruzzo, Saragolla and Senatore Cappelli) and new Organic Flours for pasta, pizza and cakes, in order to bring to the table all the flavors of Abruzzo."
